Manchester Airport Manchester Airport is the second largest airport operating company in the UK after BAA. The same group also

runways which run in parallel, the second runway way opened in 2001 and was the first commercial runway built in the UK for over twenty

The Station
Opened in January 2004 by Margaret Beckett MP and Secretary of State for Environment and Rural Affairs. Manchester Airports new ground transport
hub enables seamless travel into the heart of the airport by train, coach, bus and tram. This is the first of its kind in the UK and
also supports the governments policy of encouraging people to use public transport. With the expected increase to over forty million
passenger numbers by 2015 it is expected that over forty percent of people including the workforce will use the station. Concorde Tours
Manchester Airport offers tours onboard Concorde G-BOAC and booking is essential for all tours. There are different types of tours lasting
from forty minutes to two hours. You can also join a technical tour which also includes extra time in the flight deck and cabin. The Concorde

There are two Multi-faith Prayer Rooms which are opened twenty four hours a day. There is also catering to cover a diversity of taste and culture
in the different food and drink outlets within Manchester Airport. Wireless Hotspots Passengers can gain remote internat access via their laptop or PDA devices from cafes and seating areas across
all three of Manchester Airports terminals. This facility is provided by T-Mobile and if you are a customer already you need only login. Baby and Children
There are baby changing facilities in all terminals and there is a dedicated children's area in the departure lounge in terminal one. Parents
must supervise their children at all times. Plane Spotters
You can keep an eye out for plane spotters but they will be at the spectator's terrace located at terminal one on level thirteen of the multi
storey car park.
